Pets Pad has just completed a major expansion to make it one of the biggest independent pet shops in the north of England.

In just over a decade Pet's Pad has established itself as a major and trusted source of all your animal needs, while maintaining a friendly and personal service offering expert advice and reassuring words of guidance.

To build on their ever-growing reputation, Graham and Esther Fowler have just now opened the doors on an 1,100 square feet extension to make the store more than 4,000 square feet in total.

The animals kept on site range from snakes, lizards, scorpions and tarantulas to all types of fish, birds, chinchillas, rabbits, chipmunks, parrots, guinea pigs and hamsters.

The impressive Feed Barn, which was built just a few years ago stocks a huge range of foods for dogs, horses, poultry etc. and can even cater for animals as diverse as alpacas and Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs.

Pets Pad have also developed their own brand of dog foods to help cater for everything from working dogs to those you carry in your handbag.

Away from the animals, the store carries a massive treasure trove of treats for pets ranging from designer fish tanks and vivariums for reptiles to beds, toys, dog coats, bird cages and healthcare items – you can even pick up a tennis ball catapult to really exercise your animals.

Graham, Esther and all the staff have extensive knowledge of all their animals and stock and can help you make the right decision when choosing a pet.

The personal service also ensures you get exactly what you want. Pet's Pad can provide specific pets to order, can source any specialist foods and offer a bespoke service when it comes to fish tanks, vivariums, cages and pet clothing.

Pet's Pad is situated between Rawcliffe and East Cowick and is open seven days a week. It is open from 9am to 6pm, from Monday to Friday with late night opening until 7pm on a Thursday. On a Saturday the store is open from 9am to 5.30pm and from 10am to 4pm on a Sunday.
